Mario Brondani (Team Lead) (he/him/his)

Mario Brondani is a dentist by training and an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC. He organizes and runs a session on stress management and mental health within the undergraduate dental program at UBC, and is the Chair of the Division of dental public health. He has written on the subject of stress management and suicide prevention in dentistry, and his research focuses on access to care and dental public health, dental geriatrics and dental education.

Tracey L. Adams (Co-Lead) (she/her)

Tracey L. Adams is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She specializes in the sociology of work, professions, and social inequality. Recent research focuses on professional regulation in Canada and abroad, interprofessional relations, and the significance of gender to professional work. She is currently studying the changing nature of professional work in Canada, with a particular focus on engineers and dentists.

Jelena Atanackovic (PhD) (she/her) is a Research Associate in the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies at the University of Ottawa. She obtained her PhD in Sociology from McMaster University. Her research interests focus primarily on health and healthcare policy, and she is highly engaged in the midwifery and dentistry case studies of the HPW project. Jelena is a co-leader of the HPW Trainee Network, and helps with the HPW project's overall coordination.

Tala Maragha is an MSc student in Craniofacial Sciences at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia-Vancouver. She is involved in the dentistry case study as a part of her thesis focus on dental education and student mental health. 

 

Swathi Ramachandran is a dentist by training and a Masters student in Craniofacial Science at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Dentistry. She is involved in the dentistry case study of the HPW project and is interested in mental wellness of dentists and dental students.
